7-day roundtrip through Germany with a 9-personsbus leaving from Tilburg
Do you want to travel in a small group along ten fascinating German cities? In 2018 there are two times of departure, one in June and one in September.
Exciting roundtrip through German cities: Duisburg, Wuppertal, Kassel, Leipzig, Dresden, Berlin, Potsdam, Wolfsburg, Münster and Essen
Do you want to enjoy German culture under the guidance of a friendly and experienced guide? Join the group and get to know the Landschaftspark in Duisburg, make a roundtrip with the Schwebebahn in Wuppertal, the city of Pina Bausch, the danser. The first day finishes in Kassel where you stay overnight in a comfortable hotel and where you can dine with the group if you like!
The second day you start with a guided tour through the Schloss Wilhelmshöhe and afterwards you can make a beautiful walk through the Bergpark near the castle. On top of the 512 meter high mountain you find the statue of Hercules! The end of the day the bus leaves for Leipzig where you find your hotel and can enjoy a common diner.
In the morning of the third day a biking tour is planned through the city of Leipzig. After lunch in the city centre the bus leaves for the marvelous renaissance city Dresden. The guide drives you to the hotel. Nearby you can enjoy a diner. Of course you should not miss a concert late in the evening!
Day four you will visit the SemperOper and make a guided tour through the citycentre of this exuberant city. Afterwards you visit on your own a museum. Around four o’clock in the afternoon the bus drives you to Berlin in a two and half hour drive when traffic is friendly. You will be brought to a class hotel, after which you can enjoy diner with your group or go on your own!
It’s great to visit a theater, a concert or revue in the evening. You have to order the tickets before you leave for the trip, tickets are scarce! The fifth day you wake up in Berlin. After breakfast the guide takes you on a walking tour through the old Berlin, the part which is built by Friedrich the Great. After a lunch in the James Simon Park behind Museumsisland, the bus is leaving for Potsdam. In this baroque city you can enjoy a guided tour through the Marmorpalais, the castle of Friedrich Wilhelm II, who came after the old Fritz! Late in the afternoon the bus leaves for an overnight stay in Wolfsburg. The morning of the sixth day you can join a guided tour with a presentation over design and technic in the Autostadt of Volkswagen. After lunch the bus drives on to Münster, a drive of three hours. In the end of the day a compact city walk leads you in one hour through the history of this historical town. You stay overnight at Münster and can enjoy a common diner.
By now the end of the travel is insight! The last day leads you to Essen, an industrial town in the Ruhr-Gebiet where you first visit the Villa Hügel, the place where the family Thyssen-Krupp has lived. Of course you know the name from the elevators and staircases in warehouses! After lunch the bus drives you to the Ruhr Museum, an interesting overview of the history of the steal production of this region. After this visit, it’s time to leave to the Netherlands! At good traffic conditions, you will be home in Tilburg at around eight o’clock in the evening!
